Estado de la cuestión sobre el laicado dominicano en Almería en la época Contemporánea

RESUMEN. Resumen. Pocas son las noticias y escasa la documentación sobre la Tercera Orden de Santo Domingo en Almería. Por esto me parece que tiene un especial interés la aproximación a la historia local de esta rama de la Orden en la ciudad y provincia de Almería. De su existencia consta por la referencia a algunas beatas de nuestra Orden, que en los testamentos así se identifican, pero poco más sabemos de ellas. Con la vuelta de los frailes predicadores a Almería en 1899, se restablece esta rama de la Orden. Ella constituirá y sólo atendiendo a este lapso, el tema que se abordará en este trabajo. Vamos a dividir el artículo en cuatro apartados: primeramente una sucinta mirada al pasado remoto; en segundo lugar, los comienzos del siglo XX; nos detendremos en tercer lugar, en los acontecimientos de 1936, para finalizar con la singladura de esta fraternidad hasta la década de los 50. Palabras clave: Almería, Orden Tercera, Santo Domingo el Real. ABSTRACT. Few are the news and scarce documentation on the Third Order of Santo Domingo in Almeria. For this reason it seems to me that the approach to the local history of this branch of the Order in the city and province of Almería is of special interest. Of its existence it consists by the reference to some beatas of our Order, that in the testaments thus they are identified, but little more we know of them. With the return of the friars preachers to Almeria in 1899, this branch of the Order is restored. It will constitute and only attending to this lapse, the subject that will be approached in this work. We are going to divide the article into four sections: first, a brief look at the remote past; secondly, the beginning of the 20th century; we will stop in third place, in the events of 1936, to finish with the voyage of this fraternity until the decade of the 50s.
