Libro de tomas de hábito y de profesiones del convento dominico de Santo Tomás, de Madrid (1690-1834)

Resumen

RESUMEN: El objetivo principal de este trabajo se centra en la transcripción y estudio del códice titulado Libro de tomas de hábito y de profesiones del convento madrileño de Santo Tomás entre los años 1690-1834. Se transcriben los datos necesarios para identificar a las personas que aparecen en el Libro añadiendo una breve semblanza del autor de la historia del convento de Santo Tomás basada en algunas de las más importantes de sus fuentes bibliográficas. En la medida que ha sido posible se ofrecen minibiografías de los Maestros de novicios y de su gestión durante los años que estuvieron al frente del Noviciado. Este trabajo, no concluido, se cierra con unos Apéndices referidos. Palabras clave: Madrid, convento de Santo Tomás, fray Antonio Martínez Escudero, novicios, profesos, maestros de novicios. ABSTRACT: The main objective of this work focuses on the transcription and study of the codex entitled Book of habit and professions of the Madrid convent of St. Thomas between the years 1690-1834. The data necessary to identify the people who appear in the Book are transcribed by adding a brief resender of the author of the history of the convent of St. Thomas based on some of the most important of its bibliographic sources. To the extent possible, minibiographies of the Masters of Novices and their management are offered during the years they were at the head of the Novitiate. This work, not completed, closes with appendices referring to the Priors of the convent, the Provincials of the Dominican Province of Spain and the General Masters who appear in the Book of Registration during the time arc covered by the Codex.
