RESUMEN: Este trabajo gira en torno a la vida del monasterio de dominicas contemplativas de la ciudad de San Sebastián, en el Norte de España, durante el siglo XVIII.
La base documental, hasta ahora prácticamente inédita y en la cual nos apoyamos, es la que ofrecen las Visitas y Ordenaciones que los Superiores mayores, la mayoría de las veces el padre Provincial, hacía al monasterio para revisar la vida comunitaria dejando por escrito las Normas y Ordenamientos que debían regir la vida de las religiosas.

ABSTRACT: This work centers around the life of the Dominicans contemplative nuns´monastery of the city of San Sebastián located in the North of Spain during the XVIII Century. The study of this document, up to now unpublished, focus on the canonical Visits and regulations which the main Superiors, in this case the Provincial of the Dominican Province of Spain, made to the monastery in order to revise the community life of the nuns, leaving in writing the norms and ordinance that it should regulate the life of the nuns.
