La Escuela de Salamanca en la biblioteca de Diego Sarmiento de Acuña, Conde de Gondomar

RESUMEN: El artículo analiza la presencia de las obras de los Maestros de la Escuela de Salamanca en las listas de los catálogos de la biblioteca de don Diego Sarmiento de Acuña, conde de Gondomar, poniendo igualmente en relación el interés del Conde por el pensamiento de Santo Tomás y por sus comentaristas con su acción política y diplomática en la Inglaterra de Jacobo I. Luego, se detiene en particular en un manuscrito (Biblioteca Real de Madrid, signatura II/1735) que contiene el comentario de Francisco de Vitoria a la IIa-IIae de la Summa theologiae de Tomás de Aquino.
Además de la descripción codicológica, se reconstruye la historia del manuscrito y su posible recorrido hasta llegar a la biblioteca del conde de Gondomar.

ABSTRACT: The article analyzes the presence of the works of the Masters of the School of Salamanca in the lists of the catalogues of the library of Diego Sarmiento de Acuña, Count of Gondomar, putting equally in relation the interest of the Count in the thought of Saint Thomas and in his commentators with his political and diplomatic action in the England of James I. Then, it studies in particular a manuscript (Biblioteca Real de Madrid with the number II/1735) that contains the comment of Francisco de Vitoria to II-IIae of the Summa Theologiae of Tomás de Aquino. In addition to the codicologic description, there is reconstructed the history of the manuscript and his possible trip up to coming to the library of the count of Gondomar.
