Actas de los capítulos provinciales de la Provincia de España de los años 1569 y 1571

RESUMEN. En este estudio se ofrecen dos actas completas o casi completas de dos capítulos provinciales: uno celebrado en Valladolid en 1569 y otro en Santa María de Nieva (Segovia) en 1571. Las actas hablan de grandes maestros dominicos de la segunda generación de la Escuela Teológico-Jurídica Salmantina. Entre ellos figuran Juan de Salinas, Pedro de Puerto Carrerro, Bartolomé de Medina, Pedro Fernández, Juan de la Fuente, Domingo Báñez, etc. Se abren nuevas fundaciones, que tendrán un gran historial, como el colegio de Santo Tomás de Madrid. Los conventos dominicanos de Navarra pasan a formar parte de la Provincia dominicana de España. Se estimula la predicación popular con normas para una exigente preparación intelectual y vivencial.
ABSTRACT. This study presents the Acts relative to the Provincial Chapters celebrated in Valladolid (1569) and in Santa María de Nieva (Segovia, 1571). These Acts refere to various remarked Dominican masters in Theologv of the second generation of the Theologico-Juridical School of Salamanca (Salinas, Puerto Carrero,Medina, Fernández, de la Fuente, Báñez). Some new foundations, as Santo Tomás College of Madrid, are oponed and the Dominican Priories in Navarra are incorporated to the Province of Spain. Popular preaching is fostered by new roles iussed for a dernanding intellectual preparation as well as self-experience-based.
