Abstract

RESUMEN. Con ocasión de celebrarse este año el Cuarto Centenario de la llegada de los dominicos a Hermigua (La Gomera-Islas Canarias), el autor hace una síntesis histórica de la presencia dominicana en el archipiélago canario y especialmente en el Valle de Hermigua.

ABSTRACT. ln this vear of 2011 the village of Hermigua (La Gomera-Canary Isles) celebrates the IVth Century of the arriving of Dominican friars. The author offers a historical synthesis on the presence of Preachers in the Canary Isles and specially in the Valle de Hermigua.
