Keywords:

Abstract: Between 40 and 60 years of XIVth Century is carried out for the colegiata de Santa María de Tamarite one of the first Spanish cycles dedicated to St. Dominic of Guzmán. This is one of the larger cycles known so far, only comparable with some Italian works which show many coincidences with the scenes represented and theirs compositions. From the stylistic point of view , there is no doubt that is a work executed in Catalonia but inspired by the Italian iconography. Consequently, this article propose some hypotheses about, how could know the author of this altarpiece Dominican cycles being made in Italy.
