La Academia de Santo Tomás en Salamanca. Su actividad según el semanario “La Semana Católica de Salamanca” (1886-1897)
Abstract
Resumen: La Academia de Santo Tomás, en Salamanca, se encargó de difundir la doctrina doctrina de la ciencia cristiana desde los postulados propios de la Orden de Predicadores. Se lleva a cabo la recapitulación de la actividad de la Academia, desde 1886 a 1897, como institución formalmente constituida, exponiendo la normativa y actividades, en la que podemos denominar la primera época dorada de la Academia, tomando como fuente la revista La Semana Católica de Salamanca. Esta institución es exponente de la relación con profesores y alumnos universitarios, desde el punto de vista científico-religioso, con unas actividades variadas, y que a la vez son ejemplo riguroso de lo que hoy podemos llamar relación fe y cultura, a la vez que exponente de la sociedad de la época.

Abstract: The Academy of St. Thomas in Salamanca, was responsible for spreading the doctrine of Christian Science from the own academic tenets of the Order of Preachers. It is conducted recapitulation of the activity of the Academy (1886-1897) as an institution formally constituted, setting the rules and activities, which we can call the first golden age of the Academy, taking as source the Catholic magazine The Week of Salamanca. The relationship with teachers and university students, from a scientific point of view -religious, with varied activities is exposed, and are rigorous example of what today we call faith and culture relation, while exponent of society time.
