La devoción al Rosario en la ciudad de Zaragoza durante la Modernidad (siglos XV al XVIII)
Abstract
Resumen: Este artículo ofrece un estado actual de la cuestión sobre la devoción del Rosario en la ciudad de Zaragoza durante la Modernidad (siglos XV-XVIII) . Para ello se analiza la evolución de las constituciones de la Cofradía del Rosario establecida en el Convento de Predicadores. Posteriormente se destaca la figura del Cardenal Xavierre, dominico zaragozano, en la conformación del rezo tras la Batalla de Lepanto. Igualmente damos noticia de la singular devoción al Rosario en los ámbitos monacales de la ciudad. Finalmente estudiamos el fenómeno de los Rosarios públicos, tan importante en la Zaragoza del siglo XVIII. Palabras clave: Zaragoza, Rosario, Cardenal Xavierre, Cofradía, Rosarios públicos. Abstract: This article provides a current state of affairs on the devotion of the Rosary in the city of Zaragoza during Modernity (XV-XVIII centuries). First, the evolution of the constitutions of the Confraternity of the Rosary established in the Convent of Preachers is analyzed. Later the figure of Cardinal Xavierre, Zaragoza Dominican, in shaping the prayer after the Battle of Lepanto stands. Also we give notice of the singular devotion to the Rosary in the monastic areas of the city. Finally we study the phenomenon of public Rosaries, very important in the eighteenth century Zaragoza.
