Impulsores del restablecimiento de los dominicos en Valladolid (1890-1898)
Abstract
RESUMEN: A finales del siglo XIX, sesenta años después de la exclaustración, los dominicos regresaros a Valladolid. Esta investigación trata de “la operación retorno” que protagonizaron los responsables de la Orden y, especialmente, personas e instituciones locales (el presbítero Manuel Llamazares Leiva, la Orden Tercera de Santo Domin- go, apoyos ciudadanos). Una trama que supera la hasta ahora poco conocida historia contemporánea de los dominicos en Castilla. ABSTRACT: At the end of 19th Century, sixty years after the confiscation, the Dominicans returned to Vallladolid. This investigation is about “the return operation” led by the persons with responsabilities, in charge of the Order and, especially, by local people and institutions (like the priest Manuel Llamazares Leiva, the Third Order of Saint Dominic, and supporting citizens). It was is a plot that goes beyond the -so poorly known until now- contemporary history of the Dominicans in Castille.
