Abstract
ABSTRACT. The research study I am introducing to you analyzes a very concrete book from those belonging to the collection at the convent of Santo Tomás in Madrid, ruled by Dominican Preachers Order. This book, as so many others was moved from its original location (the inner library) after the 19th century confiscation processes executed in Spain that provoked a literary diaspora with some of them finally resting at public institutions (in best case scenarios). Just like the book I am introducing, which ended up in the Spanish National Library. Keywords: Order of Preachers, Dominicans, Madrid, Convent of Santo Tomás, José Bonaparte, Mendizábal, confiscation, secularization, library.
