A controversial document about the Order of Preachers and the convent and church of the convent of La Encarnación y Mina in Zafra
Abstract
In the General Archive of the Order of Preachers in Rome there is an interesting fourteen pages document typewritten in Italian dated January 6, 1901, which is the last appeal of the Dominicans before the Sacred Congregation of Rome to recover what was their convent of Encarnación and Mina de Zafra until the exclaustration. The Bishop of Badajoz, in use of his powers, had handed over the church and its dependencies to the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Mary (Claretians).
