Abstract
ABSTRACT: Giving the lack of specific studies, the traditional historiography has offered a vision of false homogeneity of the reform in the Dominican nunneries in Castile. Nevertheless, this can be easily deconstructed through the analysis of other kind of documents, as well as the art and architecture of those foundations. The purpose of this article is indeed to reconsider the vision of these processes, the chronology, features and the agents involved in them, as well as their consequences in the monastic life, the art and architecture. Key words: reform, Dominican nuns, enclosure, liturgy, Passion enactments.Downloads
