Archivo Dominicano

Archivo Dominicano (AR) is an annual journal of history, art history, and cultural studies, published since 1980 by the Historical Institute of the Province of Hispania of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). It was conceived as a scholarly platform for research and for the dissemination of studies on the Order of Preachers in Spain and in the territories where its mission unfolded over the centuries.

Its scope ranges from the early thirteenth century to the present and extends geographically from Europe to the Americas and Asia. Central to its pages are the history of preaching, conventual art, historiography, and the philosophical and theological controversies in which its members engaged, with the aim of integrating these fields within the broader framework of cultural studies.
